Bosch Rexroth Indramat produces the CSH01.3C-SE-EN2-MA1-CCD-S2-S-NN-FW controller in the CSH Advanced Controllers series. As a compact control section for IndraDrive systems, it manages drive loops, processes encoder feedback, and exchanges data with supervisory PLCs. By combining motion logic with analog and network interfaces, the part supports axis setup and operation in automated assembly, packaging, and machining equipment.

For process-level signaling, the module accepts and sources analog values across a programmable span of ±10 V. Each conversion is digitized with 12-bit accuracy, providing 4096 discrete steps for closed-loop commands. Two differential input channels allow noise-resistant measurement of field sensors, and two voltage outputs generate reference values for external regulators. Drive communication takes place on a deterministic optical bus specified as SERCOS, while higher-level data exchange between multiple controllers is routed through Ethernet frames under the IEEE 802.3 standard. Within that network, the unit operates in a master role, and its encoder port accepts EnDat 2.1, 1 Vpp, or 5 V TTL feedback while supplying 5 VDC power to the sensor head.

In support of transducer power, the encoder supply can deliver up to 350 mA, permitting long cables without excessive voltage drop. Standard cabling may reach 50 m, and with sense lines the span extends to 75 m before signal regeneration is required. Safety monitoring is integrated through the certified Safe Motion function set, so speed, stop, and position limits can be enforced without additional hardware. The aluminum housing stands 241 mm high, 103 mm deep, and only 49.5 mm wide, so multiple sections can fit side by side inside a drive rack while maintaining clearance for airflow and connector access.
