The Bosch CSH01.3C-SE-EN1-EN2-CCD-NN-S-NN-FW is a CSH01.3 series configurable control section. It mounts on a power section: the combination is a IndraDrive controller that can be used for industrial motor control applications. Bosch usually delivers the control section as part of a fully configured controller. In some cases the control section can be provided separately. The CSH01.3C-SE-EN1-EN2-CCD-NN-S-NN-FW is an advanced control section with three slots for plug in modules and one slot for a safety module. Slot 3 on the CSH01.3C-SE-EN1-EN2-CCD-NN-S-NN-FW contains a cross-communication module. Slot 1 on the device contains an encoder HSF / RSF module and slot 2 on the device contains an encoder module with EnDat 2.1 interface. The safety modules that can be installed on the CSH01.3C-SE-EN1-EN2-CCD-NN-S-NN-FW include starting lockout, safe torque off, safe motion and safety technology I/O.

Master communication supported by the CSH01.3C-SE-EN1-EN2-CCD-NN-S-NN-FW is SERCOS which is an abbreviation for seral real-time communication system. SERCOS is a global standard for communication between industrial controls, I/O devices and motion devices. The transmission medium used by SERCOS is optical fiber. The data rates supported by SERCOS are 2 / 4 Mbps. The cyclic update can be as low as 62.5 microseconds. The nodes on the SERCOS network are connection in a ring topology. Advanced versions of SERCOS - such as SERCOS III that support enhanced data rates – can also be ordered for CSH series devices. SERCOS provides an efficient and collision-free communication. The jitter on SERCOS networks is very low. The CSH01.3C-SE-EN1-EN2-CCD-NN-S-NN-FW can be configured from a standard control panel. Other control panels are not supported. Firmware for the CSH01.3C-SE-EN1-EN2-CCD-NN-S-NN-FW has to be ordered separately from the hardware. The CSH01.3C-SE-EN1-EN2-CCD-NN-S-NN-FW should be installed by qualified personnel.
