Bosch Rexroth Indramat builds the CSH01.3C-S3-ENS-EN1-CCD-L2-S-NN-FW, an automation controller in the CSH Advanced Controllers series. The unit mounts inside drive racks and issues real-time commands to connected servo axes, sensors, and field devices, acting as the central motion and logic node in industrial equipment. It consolidates interface, safety, and communication functions so that machine builders can synchronize positioning tasks, supervise process variables, and exchange data with higher-level plant networks through deterministic fieldbus links.

The analog front end is designed for precise transducer coupling, and each voltage channel presents an input resistance of 160 kOhm with a digitizing step size of 2 mV/inc, allowing fine adjustment of feedback scaling. Internal electronics draw only 8.5 W in base operation, which helps reduce cabinet thermal load. Cross communication and master communication both rely on Sercos III, while engineering access is provided through a 100Base-TX port for configuration and diagnostics. Position feedback is accepted through two separate encoder ports: the first supports IndraDyn, HIPERFACE, and 1 Vpp signals, and the second accepts HSF or resolver formats. For timed control signals, the controller can generate or measure pulses up to 100 ms wide without loss of accuracy.

The output stage supplies reference signals up to 1 mA for analog actuators, and the board is powered from a 24 V DC source that must tolerate a typical inrush of 4 A at startup. One form-C relay is included for auxiliary load switching and is rated at 24 V DC and 1 A. Embedded safety is handled by the certified Safe Torque Off function, which interrupts drive power in emergency conditions without affecting fieldbus communication. Serial diagnostics are available through an RS-232 port, and the allowable cable length may extend to 15 m for remote operator panels.
