The CSH01.3C-PL-ENS-EN2-CCD-NN-S-NN-FW module is a compact controller card manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the CSH Advanced Controllers series. Installed in a drive rack, it combines motion control and logical sequencing in one unit. This allows individual drives to receive time-coordinated commands for positioning, speed regulation, and digital I/O handling on automated production equipment. By combining these functions on one card, the system can manage coordinated axis tasks and local signal processing without requiring a separate control module for each function.

The card supplies two programmable analog outputs that can source up to 1 mA or drive devices that expect a reference of 5 V, allowing direct connection to external actuators or process indicators. Even with its real-time tasks, the internal electronics dissipate only 8.5 W of base power, which helps reduce cabinet cooling demand. Encoder interface EN2 accepts square-wave feedback up to 1000 kHz, and its dedicated 5.0 V rail can deliver 350 mA to the sensor head. The ENS interface also processes sine-cosine feedback up to 500 kHz and includes a TTL branch that captures incremental edges to 400 kHz, so the card can work with different encoder families on the same axis group. This arrangement supports flexible feedback selection while keeping the controller card compact.

The controller provides 16 parallel inputs and 16 parallel outputs for exchanging discrete status signals with connected equipment. This helps the module monitor clamps, interlocks, and other machine signals without relying on an external expander card for basic parallel I/O tasks. For remote encoder mounting, the EN2 sense lines can extend to 75 m without additional signal conditioning, which supports large gantry layouts. A dedicated 11.6 V supply is available for excitation coils or light barriers. At power-up, the module draws an inrush of 4 A before returning to its normal operating level, so startup loading remains brief rather than continuous.
