The CSH01.3C-ET-ENS-EN2-CCD-NN-S-NN-FW is an advanced motion and logic controller produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the CSH Advanced Controllers series. Deployed in modular drive platforms, the unit coordinates axis movement, fieldbus traffic, and local I/O for automated machinery. By combining high-speed processor hardware with dedicated encoder inputs, the controller aligns servo drives with the PLC layer, shortening machine cycle times in packaging, printing, and handling applications. This arrangement lets one controller manage motion sequencing and device communication without separate interface modules.

The controller uses Multi-Ethernet ports to support Profinet, EtherNet/IP, and Sercos III communication on a shared network. It also includes integrated analog I/O for direct sensor connections, while 16 digital I/O channels handle devices such as limit switches and solenoid valves. The first encoder interface accepts feedback from IndraDyn and Hiperface® servo motors, providing absolute position data without external converters. A second feedback connector supports EnDat 2.1 as well as 1 Vpp and 5 V TTL signals, allowing mixed feedback types on the same machine. Program and parameter storage is removable through a MultiMediaCard, which allows data to be transferred without permanent onboard storage.

A standard operator panel on the front provides menu keys and a monochrome display for local setup and status review. A rear DB9 connector routes diagnostics through RS232 when network access is not available. For actuator signaling, an integrated relay output can switch external contactors. High-speed data can also pass directly between neighboring controllers through the optional Cross Communication link, which reduces bus load during multi-axis interpolation. The design includes no safety technology, so emergency-stop and safe-torque-off functions must be handled by external hardware.
