Within an automation cell, the module plugs into an IndraDrive platform and executes drive functions, parameter handling, and real-time communication between motion axes and supervisory PLCs. It supports distributed servo applications that require synchronized positioning, fast feedback processing, and fieldbus connectivity. The module also serves as the central control section for the drive, so command processing and signal evaluation remain concentrated in one compact slot.

Power for the board is supplied at DC 24 V, and its internal logic draws only 8.5 W, which helps keep cabinet heat low during normal operation.
