Bosch Rexroth Indramat manufactures the CSH01.1C-SE-ENS-NNN-MD2-S2-S-XP-FW, a modular motion controller in the CSH Advanced Controllers series. The card mounts on a drive rack beside power modules and manages axis interpolation, feedback evaluation, and diagnostic reporting for industrial machinery. By serving as the logical interface between higher-level PLCs and drive inverters, it supports coordinated multi-axis motion in packaging lines, machine tools, and material-handling equipment. This arrangement allows one control platform to process motion commands and returned status data within the same drive system.

The module provides 1 In / 2 Out for analog interfacing. Its input accepts ±10 V, 160 kΩ, allowing direct connection of process transducers. Actuator commands leave the board at 5 V, 1 mA, a signal level suited for reference inputs on downstream amplifiers. Communication with the drive bus relies on fiber-optic cables, which provide galvanic isolation and strong noise immunity. Real-time telegrams follow the Sercos II protocol, so synchronization, parameter transfer, and diagnostics can share the same deterministic cycle. A standard control panel with a single-line display and four membrane keys provides local access to setup menus.

For integrated safety, the module implements Safe Motion (SIL2 / Cat. 3 PLd), allowing torque-off or velocity-limited states without extra relays. The Md2 daughterboard adds 16 In / 16 Out + SSI, which supports limit switches and one absolute position channel. A serial connection through the RS232 port supports direct access for setup and parameter backup. The housing measures 241 × 49.5 × 103 mm, allowing high-density stacking in shallow enclosures. The primary encoder interface accepts IndraDyn, HIPERFACE, 1 Vpp, and TTL feedback formats, while the RJ11 six-pole connector supplies 24 V at 0.2 A to SSI encoders. A second feedback socket is not populated, so encoder channel 2 remains unused.
