The CSH01.1C-SE-ENS-MEM-MD1-L1-S-NN-FW is a modular drive controller section in the CSH Advanced Controllers series manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat. It plugs into IndraDrive power units and issues axis commands, reads field signals, and enforces safety interlocks in automated machinery. By integrating motion control, local I/O processing, and network communication on one board, it streamlines cabinet layouts and reduces wiring inside packaging lines, printing presses, and handling stations.

An analog front end with an input resistance of 160 kOhm protects the two voltage-scaled feedback channels from loading sensitive transducers, while the pair of analog outputs delivers reference levels up to 5 V for external actuators. All cyclic motion data moves across a Sercos ring that uses a fiber-optic link, so electromagnetic interference along machine routes is minimized. Eight MD1 digital outputs can switch loads such as contactors or lamps, each limited to 500 mA of sink current, and twelve complementary digital inputs accept binary states from limit switches or proximity sensors. A relay contact rated at 24 VDC 1 A is provided for galvanically isolated signaling, and the card’s encoder supply delivers 11.6 V at up to 500 mA for position feedback devices.

For feedback-oriented motion loops, the controller reproduces quadrature or synchronous serial feedback through Incremental/SSI emulation and supports resolvers or optical encoders over the multi-protocol IndraDyn/Hiperface/1 Vss/TTL interface. Setup utilities can be attached through the RS-232 port, which supports data exchange up to 115 kBaud without requiring the Sercos network to be active. Integrated safety follows Stop Category 0 with a starting lockout that prevents unintended restart after emergency events, complementing the fast fieldbus stop and relay cutout paths.
