Mounted on an IndraDrive control rack, it handles real-time motion calculations and supervisory logic for industrial automation lines such as packaging, printing, or material handling. The module coordinates multiple servo axes, accepts machine-level commands, and forwards deterministic setpoints to the drive so that motion remains synchronized and positioning stays precise during operation. This arrangement also lets the control section manage interpolation, sequencing, and axis coordination from a central point in the drive system.

Command and feedback data are exchanged over the optical SERCOS II interface, giving the section cycle times suited to sub-millisecond interpolation.
