The CSH01.1C-S3-ENS-MEM-MA1-L2-S-NN-FW motion control card is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the CSH Advanced Controllers series. Mounted inside IndraDrive power sections, the board acts as the command layer for one automation axis by preparing setpoints, evaluating feedback, and forwarding fieldbus messages to the drive. Its function is to synchronize servo motors, coordinate machine cycles, and connect safety logic to the drive platform, giving machinery a compact controller that minimizes external PLC traffic. In packaging equipment, printing presses, or material handling lines, it delivers embedded motion control.

Communication across Sercos III provides cyclic setpoint updates with microsecond-level timing and supports standardized device profiles. The board accepts position feedback through the multi-format evaluation block IndraDyn / HIPERFACE / 1 Vss / TTL, allowing incremental or absolute encoders to be wired without external adapters. Sensors draw from an isolated 12 V supply, so line losses do not distort the reference voltage. The MA1 motion-analog module digitizes two voltage inputs at 12-bit resolution, delivering fine torque or position references to the regulating processor. For risk reduction, the integrated functional safety layer executes Safe Torque Off with SIL3 / Cat. 3 PL e, which removes gate pulses within a few milliseconds and helps fulfill EN ISO 13849 requirements without additional contactors.

High-speed encoder emulation is available; the port, selectable as incremental or SSI, toggles at 1 MHz, letting downstream controllers capture position with sub-microsecond latency. Up to 500 mA of current is provided on the encoder connector, supporting absolute transducers that include internal heaters or LEDs. The MA1 channel group offers 2 In / 2 Out, so the card can sample analog feedback while simultaneously issuing analog commands, and the buffered output rail supplies 5 V at 1 mA for reference signaling. A maintenance port that uses RS-232 simplifies service access, while 24 V STO control and acknowledgment contacts rated at 3 mA and 1 A connect the safety chain to external relays.
