The CSH01.1C-S3-ENS-EN2-NNN-L2-S-NN-FW is a single-axis control module manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and supplied within the CSH Advanced Controllers series. Intended for mounting inside an IndraDrive system rack, the unit executes motion sequences, processes field signals, and coordinates servo drives through real-time bus links. In an automation cell, it acts as the master that closes position and velocity loops, enabling precise traverse, pressing, or handling tasks without requiring an external PLC. This arrangement allows one compact module to supervise axis behavior, exchange commands with connected drives, and react to machine signals from the same control location.

The controller housing measures a depth of 49.5 mm, a width of 103 mm, and a height of 241 mm, allowing dense mounting inside multi-axis cabinets. One analog input and two analog outputs are provided for local speed or torque trimming, while additional field data can be exchanged through a single RS-232 serial port. It transmits cyclic setpoint data with drives over SERCOS III using the master interface, and plant-wide diagnostics can be routed through the integrated 100Base-TX Ethernet channel. Encoder diagnostics are supported by two feedback ports: Interface 1 accepts IndraDyn, Hiperface, 1 Vpp, or TTL signals, and Interface 2 accepts EnDat 2.1, 1 Vpp, or TTL. The master port is presented on an RJ-45 8-pin connector, while the safety connector uses a 9-pin female D-Sub. Functional safety is handled internally; the module provides Safe Torque Off and meets the performance level of SIL3 / Cat. 3 PL e when wired through its dedicated D-Sub link. The safety function removes torque-producing energy from the axis so the drive can be brought to a controlled safe state by the surrounding system. Encoder supply rails are available for external sensors, delivering up to 500 mA on channel 1 and 350 mA on channel 2 so that high-resolution feedback heads can be powered directly from the card. Separate sensor power on both feedback channels is useful when external measuring devices are connected directly to the module. This layout supports compact motion systems that need onboard safety and direct feedback integration in the same controller.
