It is designed to coordinate servo drive functions and fieldbus communication inside automated machinery, supplying command processing, encoder evaluation, and safety interlocks in one compact module. By combining drive regulation and network interfacing, the unit simplifies cabinet layouts and provides deterministic cycle control for packaging lines, pick-and-place systems, and material-handling stations.

This controller offers 2 analog voltage outputs that can be trimmed in increments of 19.5 mV/inc, allowing fine resolution when transmitting setpoints to external devices. All network traffic is routed through a RJ-45, 8-pin connector that carries the real-time SERCOS III protocol, enabling synchronized data exchange between master controllers and multiple drives.
