The Bosch Rexroth CSH01.1C-S3-EN2-NNN-MD2-S1-S-NN-FW is a digital control unit. It has a modular architecture. Operators can adapt the control unit through optional hardware modules and firmware. The firmware is ordered as a separate subposition. The optional hardware modules are specified at the time of ordering. Three modules are installed on the CSH01.1C-S3-EN2-NNN-MD2-S1-S-NN-FW: the S1 safety module that supports safety technology I/O, the EN2 encoder module with EnDat 2.1 interface and the MD2 digital I/O extension module. The MD2 module on the CSH01.1C-S3-EN2-NNN-MD2-S1-S-NN-FW also supports an SSI encoder interface. One slot on the control unit is not occupied. Operators can install any optional module of choice in the slot. The control unit is configurable. It works with a standard control panel. This control panel draws 1 Watt of power. To be recognized, the control panel must be attached to the control unit before power on.
The standard control panel has a digital display and a keypad. Operators can use the control panel to monitor the controller. Operators can also use the control panel to issue a limited number of commands. Advanced control units, such as the CSH01.1C-S3-EN2-NNN-MD2-S1-S-NN-FW, do not work with a comfort control panel. Multiple options are available for master communication including DeviceNet, CANopen, MultiEthernet, Profibus, SERCOS and parallel interface. The CSH01.1C-S3-EN2-NNN-MD2-S1-S-NN-FW features SERCOS III master communication. SERCOS III is the Ethernet based version of SERCOS 2. It corresponds to the IEEE 802.3 standard. This SERCOS III module is used as a salve for cross communication. The physical interface of the SERCOS III interface is RJ-45. The maximum cable length for any network segment should not exceed 100 meters. For flexible installations the minimum bend radius is 48.75 millimeters.
