The Bosch Rexroth Indramat CSH01.1C-S3-EN2-EN2-NNN-L2-S-XP-FW is a modular control section from the CSH Advanced Controllers series. Designed for drive-based motion systems, this control card manages a single axis and exchanges process data with higher-level PLCs or HMIs. Within an IndraDrive power module, it handles interpolation, feedback evaluation, and fieldbus communication, allowing precise coordination of servo or spindle motors in automated assembly lines, packaging equipment, and material-handling stations. Its modular design lets the same power platform be adapted to different machine functions without changing the basic control approach for each axis.

The card communicates with the drive bus by means of SERCOS III, so real-time setpoints, actual values, and diagnostic telegrams move over deterministic fiber or copper rings without additional gateway hardware. Up to 11 digital inputs accommodate limit switches, reference sensors, or user commands, while 4 digital outputs can trigger contactors or signal machine status. The sole analog input is buffered by 160 kΩ of resistance, which minimizes loading on external transducers, and two voltage-scaled analog outputs share a sourcing capability of 1 mA each for external meters or actuators. Internal logic, encoder supplies, and I/O buffering are drawn from the EN2 rail, which the module pulls at 350 mA, and that value must be considered when sizing the drive’s auxiliary power budget.

Feedback versatility is secured by an interface that reads EnDat 2.1, 1 Vpp sine-cosine, or 5 V TTL incremental signals, and the hardware carries 2 encoder sockets so position and auxiliary encoders can be processed simultaneously. Fast probing functions latch actual position with a capture window of 4 µs, enabling precise registration moves on printing or cutting machines. For functional safety, an integrated Safe Torque Off channel disconnects gate drives in less than a millisecond, satisfying stop category 0 requirements without additional external relays. This supports synchronized tasks such as registration correction and rapid shutdown response with very little delay in the signal path. Network access for setup and service is also available through a MiniDIN RS-232 service connector and dual RJ45 SERCOS ports.
