The CSH01.1C-S3-EN2-EN2-MEM-S2-S-NN-FW controller is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and belongs to the CSH Advanced Controllers series. It is intended for multi-axis drive systems, where it provides closed-loop motion control, fieldbus management, and machine safety supervision in a single plug-in card. The card communicates with downstream drives through SERCOS III, allowing real-time cyclic exchange of position and torque data over fiber or copper rings. For setup or diagnostics, an auxiliary RS232 port provides point-to-point access to parameter lists. Position feedback is accepted over dual channels that support EnDat 2.1, and the same inputs also accept 1 Vpp or 5 V TTL signals for added interface flexibility. Analog process variables are connected through integrated analog I/O, reducing the need for external signal converters.

Nonvolatile recipe data can be stored on a MultiMediaCard, so machine-specific data can remain available when the card is transferred between compatible units. Discrete sensors and actuators connect to the integrated digital I/O block, while auxiliary solenoids can be driven directly through the onboard Relay Output. For legacy feedback chains, the optional Encoder Emulation feature reproduces incremental signals that older PLCs can track even when the primary feedback is serial. A front-mounted standard operator panel supplies basic status LEDs and membrane keys for local jogging and status review.
