The CSH01.1C-S3-EN1-EN2-MA1-NN-S-NN-FW is a drive and motion controller from the CSH Advanced Controllers series produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat. It serves as the command section in modular drive stacks. It processes feedback from multiple encoder formats and sends real-time torque, velocity, and position commands to servo inverters used in industrial automation cells and machine tools. Because the controller handles the command layer rather than motor power directly, it is intended to work with separate inverter hardware in the drive stack.

This controller integrates two analog channels rated at 2 inputs / 2 outputs, so a pair of external process signals can be acquired while two more are generated for actuator trim or monitoring. Each channel uses a 12-bit converter, which provides 4096 resolution steps for fine setpoint adjustments. The input electronics tolerate a ±10 V span, allowing direct connection to common velocity and pressure transducers without extra scaling hardware. For primary position feedback, it provides a first encoder interface for HSF or resolver feedback. The corresponding excitation is delivered at 8 VDC / 18.2 Vpp, supplying the reference voltage and carrier amplitude required by many brushless resolver sensors.

Fieldbus exchange is handled through a SERCOS III master module that occupies only 1 W of internal power, which helps limit heat inside compact control cabinets. Two optically isolated ring ports are presented on two 8-pin RJ45 sockets, so the node can be placed at different points in the real-time Ethernet loop without external media converters. The module’s front face is just 49.5 mm wide, and the housing also measures 103 mm deep and 241 mm high to support dense mounting on DIN rails. An auxiliary encoder channel is available through a D-Sub 15-pin connector and supports EnDat 2.1, 1 Vpp sine-cosine, or 5 V TTL quadrature signals while sourcing up to 350 mA at 5 VDC to the sensor. This combination supports mixed feedback devices on the same platform when machine axes require different sensing technologies.
