The Bosch CSH01.1C-PL-ENS-NNN-MD2-L1-S-NN-FW is a digital control unit. It is a component of IndraDrive controllers. The other components of IndraDrive controllers include a power section, a control panel and control unit firmware. Customers need to order control unit firmware as a separate subposition. A firmware type plate is attached to the control unit. It lists relevant information that operators can use to identify the firmware version. A control unit type plate is also attached to the control unit. To ensure delivery of the correct equipment, the information on this type plate should be verified at the time of equipment delivery. The CSH01.1C-PL-ENS-NNN-MD2-L1-S-NN-FW control panel only works with a standard control panel. This type of control panel does not support hot-swap: it should be connected before the control unit is switched on.

The control panel is not recognized if it is connected after the control unit is switched on. Three plug in modules are installed on the CSH01.1C-PL-ENS-NNN-MD2-L1-S-NN-FW. These include an encoder IndraDyn module, a digital I/O extension module with SSI encoder interface and a safety module that supports starting lockout. The encoder module with SSI encoder interface is a combined extension with digital I/O extension and SSI encoder interface. The digital I/O extension supports 16 inputs and 16 outputs.
