An IndraDrive drive controller consists of two parts: a control unit and a power section. The Bosch CSH01.1C-PL-ENS-NNN-MD1-S1-S-NN-FW is a CSH series digital control unit. The control unit plugs into a power section. As a standard, Bosch supplies drive controllers ex works complete with the control unit. In some cases, the control unit can be supplied separately. When supplied separately, the control unit has to be mounted on the power section. Only personnel trained by Bosch for mounting and dismounting control units are allowed to mount and dismount control units. There is a risk of damage to the control unit and interference with its operational safety caused by electrostatic charges. Therefore exposed conductive parts coming into contact with the control unit must be discharged by means of grounding.
Such exposed conductive parts include the human body, and parts and tools. Control units may only be stored or dispatched in conductive packaging. There is also a risk of damage to the control unit or power section by mounting and dismounting the control unit too often. Therefore for a drive controller, the control unit must not be mounted and dismounted more than a maximum of 20 times. The CSH01.1C-PL-ENS-NNN-MD1-S1-S-NN-FW is an advanced control unit that operators can configure with a standard control panel. The master communication module is a parallel interface. Other modules installed on the CSH01.1C-PL-ENS-NNN-MD1-S1-S-NN-FW include a safety module with safety technology I/O support, an encoder IndraDyn module and a digital I/O extension module.
