Bosch Rexroth Indramat manufactures the CSH01.1C-PL-ENS-EN2-MD2-S2-S-NN-FW control card as part of the CSH Advanced Controllers series. The unit serves as the central motion processor inside IndraDrive racks, coordinating axis commands and field signals with attached drives. By integrating communication links, analog scaling, and discrete I/O on a single board, it shortens wiring runs and reduces component counts in industrial automation cells where deterministic servo regulation and integrated safety are required. It mounts directly on the power-section backplane and supports add-on modules for machine-specific tasks.

At the hardware layer, the card draws a base load of 7.5 W, so cabinet heat calculations remain modest. Command exchange with the power stage is handled through a Parallel Interface, allowing simultaneous transfer of set points and feedback bits. For analog scaling, the board sources up to 1 mA of current or up to 5 V at its differential outputs. The MD2 expansion provides 16 optically isolated digital inputs and an equal number of outputs, while the parallel header blocks add the same amount of I/O for sensors and actuators. During initial energization, the circuitry tolerates an inrush of 4 A, after which consumption returns to nominal levels. All logic transitions occur within the internal timing budget so that motion loops stay synchronous with external events.

The auxiliary supplies that stabilize the logic layers are 5 V on the EN2 rail and 12 V on the ENS safety domain; separating these supply lines keeps safety monitoring active during main power isolation. Each discrete output can generate pulses up to 100 ms wide, which helps prevent excessive energy transfer into connected solenoids. Where higher loads are necessary, the onboard relay contact is rated for DC 24 V / 1 A, enabling direct switching of brakes or contactors. The integrated Safe Motion package supervises speed, standstill, and direction in hardware, providing category-compliant protection without relying solely on software diagnostics.
