The CSH01.1C-PL-ENS-EN2-MD2-L2-S-NN-FW controller is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the CSH Advanced Controllers series. It forms the control core of an IndraDrive assembly by executing motion profiles, processing feedback, and forwarding setpoints to the attached power sections. Within automated assembly cells and packaging lines, it bridges encoders, field sensors, and higher-level PLCs to provide synchronized multi-axis positioning and rapid fault reaction through hardware-level shutdown signals. This role allows the unit to coordinate command processing and feedback evaluation in one compact control platform.

Its compact housing measures 103 mm wide, 241 mm high, and 49.5 mm deep, so it fits narrow control cabinets without auxiliary spacing rails. The slim format also leaves room for adjacent modules and terminal wiring in dense panel layouts. Two analog voltage channels are available, and the card provides 2 analog outputs that can be mapped to speed, torque, or process-value signals. Discrete equipment is connected through the MD2 terminal set, which supports 16 digital inputs and 16 digital outputs powered from the controller’s 24 V DC supply rail. The MD2 inputs draw 3 mA per point, and each output can source 0.5 A for contactors or optical couplers.

The analog ports are rated at 5 V and 1 mA, permitting direct linkage to differential amplifiers or speed references without external buffering. Functional safety is achieved through the Safe Torque Off circuit that meets SIL3 / Cat. 3 PL e, allowing drive power to be cut within milliseconds when an emergency stop is triggered. Position feedback is accepted on the first encoder socket, which recognizes IndraDyn/HIPERFACE/1 Vss/TTL formats, while a second socket handles EnDat 2.1 signals and provides 24 V at 0.2 A for SSI encoders. Higher-level controllers exchange setpoint and diagnostic data over a Parallel Interface, which supports direct cyclic communication for tightly coordinated motion tasks.
