By combining motion coordination and field-level I/O handling on a single compact board, the unit reduces cabinet space and simplifies wiring in packaging, material-handling, and assembly equipment.

It accepts an analog reference of ±10 V, allowing speed or torque commands from PLCs or potentiometer circuits without additional scaling hardware. For direct machine signals, the digital I/O extension offers 12 inputs and 8 outputs, so discrete sensors and actuators can be wired locally instead of through remote terminal blocks. Precise positioning feedback is supported through the encoder-1 interface, which recognizes IndraDyn S / HIPERFACE / EnDat2.1 / 1 Vpp formats and supports compatibility with a broad range of rotary and linear motors.
