Designed as a modular drive control section, it supervises motion axes, processes discrete signals, and exchanges data with higher-level PLCs in industrial automation cells. Its role is to integrate sensor input, encoder feedback, and command generation so that connected drives follow precise profiles in packaging, assembly, or material-handling equipment.

The control section handles field signal exchange through its onboard terminals. It provides 2 analog outputs that can transmit voltage or current references to external actuators. The integrated parallel connection accepts 16 digital inputs, allowing direct wiring of proximity switches or limit sensors, and it drives 16 digital outputs for solenoid or relay actuation.
