Bosch Rexroth Indramat manufactures the CSH01.1C-PL-EN2-EN1-MEM-S2-S-NN-FW, a plug-in control section from the CSH Advanced Controllers series. This module forms the command layer of an IndraDrive system. It translates host commands into drive-level motion sequences for single-axis or multi-axis machines used in material handling, packaging, and general automation.

The unit draws its control logic from a separate 24 V auxiliary bus. Its acceptable input window is DC 19-30 V, which keeps the electronics active during brief brownouts. Two differential analog channels are provided. Each accepts signals in the ±10 V range and presents a typical input impedance of 160 kOhm, so upstream transducers are not loaded. Encoder port EN1 supports Resolver / HSF feedback and delivers 18.2 Vpp AC to resolvers. EN2 accepts EnDat 2.1, 1 Vpp, or 5 V TTL position streams and carries an isolated supply for the encoder. For direct machine signals, the card exposes sixteen digital inputs and sixteen transistor outputs that exchange status bits over the Parallel Interface. When connected to MEM devices, the permitted cable distance reaches 40 m, preventing data loss on long runs.

High-speed referencing is handled by the MEM channel, which can toggle outputs at 1 MHz to synchronize drives with encoder edges. The dedicated EN2 regulator provides a nominal rail of 5.0 V and can source up to 350 mA for optical or magnetic feedback heads, while EN1 furnishes a separate reference of 8 V DC for Hall-sensor-based feedback. The controller can emit absolute as well as incremental signals, letting legacy axis cards read modern encoders without rewiring. Integrated Safe Motion functions supervise velocity, standstill, and direction, allowing safety compliance through monitored shutdowns instead of contactor-based mains removal.
