The Bosch CSH01.1C-PL-EN1-NNN-MA1-NN-S-NN-FW is a CSH series advanced control unit. It is a configurable control unit that works only with a standard control panel. The control unit does not support hot swap capability. The control panel must be connected to the control unit prior to power on. If it is connected after control unit power on, the control panel will not be recognized. The control panel, control unit, and all plugin modules installed on the control unit draw power from the power section. The output voltage of the power section is 24 Volts DC. The control unit mounts onto the power section. Bosch usually supplies the control power as part of an assembled IndraDrive controller. In some cases, the control unit is supplied separately. In such cases trained professionals must mount the control panel onto the power section.
The power section and the control unit can get damaged due to excessive mounting and dismounting. For this reason, Bosch recommends limiting the number of mounting and dismounting operations to 20. The CSH01.1C-PL-EN1-NNN-MA1-NN-S-NN-FW is a modular device. Its firmware is ordered separately. The control unit has four slots for plugin modules. Other types of control units have either more or less slots for plugin modules. Two plugin modules are installed on the CSH01.1C-PL-EN1-NNN-MA1-NN-S-NN-FW: these include an analog I/O extension module and an encoder HSF/RSF module. Bosh supplies optional safety modules for CSH series devices. However, the slot for a safety module on the CSH01.1C-PL-EN1-NNN-MA1-NN-S-NN-FW is not occupied. The CSH01.1C-PL-EN1-NNN-MA1-NN-S-NN-FW features a parallel interface for master communication. Properly trained and qualified technical personnel should handle the control unit. The ambient temperature range for control unit operation is 0 to 40 degrees Celsius.
