The CSH01.1C-PB-ENS-NNN-MEM-NN-S-NN-FW controller is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat as part of the CSH Advanced Controllers series. This plug-in control section is used with IndraDrive power units to manage one servo axis, translating motion commands into drive-side current and voltage references. Within an automated cell, it coordinates camming, positioning, and speed loops while also handling local I/O diagnostics through its front panel. The module is supplied as a configurable variant, allowing selection of fieldbus and encoder combinations to match the target machine architecture.

The module handles a single mechanical axis; this single-axis format simplifies drive sizing and ensures deterministic update rates for high-precision loops. Parameter sets can be adjusted so the hardware remains configurable without rewiring. A single-line control panel gives basic status and fault codes directly on the front panel. For external test stands, an emulation connector wired as a D-Sub 15 female jack outputs simulated encoder pulses at up to 1 MHz for verification of downstream PLC logic. The internal sensor supply delivers 11.6 V, and it supports analog or digital feedback over 1 Vpp, Hiperface, EnDat 2.1, or 5 V TTL channels, letting the drive follow diverse motor transducers.

Encoder emulation can output absolute and incremental formats while drawing up to 500 mA from the regulated sensor rail. Network traffic is exchanged across the integrated EIA-RS485 transceiver so shielded twisted-pair cabling can span long machine segments without signal loss. When acting as a subordinate controller, it listens to a higher-level PROFIBUS master, yet service laptops still gain access through the dedicated RS232 serial port. A repeater supply of +5 V (±10%) is provided on the header for external line drivers or fiber converters, helping maintain signal quality when multiple nodes share the same bus.
