The CSH01.1C-PB-ENS-MEM-MA1-S1-S-NN-FW control section is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the CSH Advanced Controllers series and plugs into an IndraDrive inverter as its processing and communication layer. By combining PROFIBUS DP networking, encoder evaluation, user memory, and safety I/O on one board, it allows the drive to perform axis control, data logging, and safe torque-off functions in packaging lines, handling robots, and similar automated equipment. This arrangement keeps the control and interface functions in a compact module that works directly with the inverter platform.

The board offers 2 differential analog input channels, and each channel is digitized with 12-bit resolution to support basic process variables such as tension or pressure. These inputs present a high impedance of 1000 kΩ, so external sensors are not heavily loaded by the interface. One analog output channel can source up to 10 mA, allowing the drive to transmit a proportional reference to external actuators or indicators, and the output converter matches the input resolution for balanced scaling. An incremental or absolute encoder is connected through a D-Sub 15 socket, and the card supplies the measuring device with a regulated 12 V feed to support low-power encoders while keeping cable counts minimal.

The control section itself dissipates only 7.5 W, so it can be installed beside power electronics without additional cooling hardware. A removable memory module connects through a ribbon link that can be routed up to 40 m; this length supports cabinet-to-cabinet backups while maintaining signal integrity at the channel's 1 MHz data rate and its 20 mA driver capability. PROFIBUS communication reaches remote devices through a D-Sub 9 bus, and an onboard repeater draws 75 mA to regenerate signals. The safety interface, also on a 9-pin socket, can switch outputs carrying up to 0.5 A, enabling hardwired emergency stop chains without separate relays.
