The CSH01.1C-PB-ENS-ENS-NNN-S2-S-NN-FW control section is supplied by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the CSH Advanced Controllers series. Installed in IndraDrive modular inverters, it converts PLC or fieldbus commands into precise current and velocity targets for servomotors while simultaneously processing encoder feedback. The unit’s purpose is to add closed-loop motion capability to production machinery such as packaging stations, pick-and-place gantries, and printing lines.

All logic electronics run from a 24 V DC supply that draws only 7.5 W, so panel heat generation is minimal. A momentary inrush of 4 A occurs at power-up before settling to the nominal draw. 2 analog outputs are present, each capable of sourcing 1 mA at a fixed 5 V span, enabling reference signal delivery to external actuators. Both channels share the same pulse-generation resources that can issue widths up to 100 ms for step-and-direction applications. Network access is provided through a PROFIBUS master interface for deterministic fieldbus traffic, while parameter uploading and service functions pass through the RS232 serial port. The card reads position and speed from dual encoder sockets that accept IndraDyn, Hiperface, 1 Vpp, or TTL feedback formats. Printed-circuit depth is 103 mm, allowing placement beside other IndraDrive sections without exceeding common enclosure depths.

Functional safety is provided through the Safe Motion option, and the hardware is certified to SIL2 / Cat. 3 / PL d, allowing stop-category and limited-speed functions without additional relays. The module occupies only 49.5 mm of rack width and stands 241 mm tall, so multi-axis assemblies can fit inside shallow cabinets. The enclosure’s aluminum sidewall guides airflow past the heat-generating regulators to maintain component temperatures while neighboring drive sections continue operating on tightly spaced DIN rails.
