The CSH01.1C-PB-ENS-EN2-EN2-S2-S-NN-FW control section is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the CSH Advanced Controllers series. It plugs into an IndraDrive power unit and governs axis regulation, encoder evaluation, and fieldbus communication for coordinated motion sequences in automated lines, presses, and handling systems. By converting high-level commands into precise current, velocity, or position references while supervising safety channels, the module places distributed intelligence at the drive and shortens response times compared with centralized PLC motion cards.

The control section includes an analog input rated at ±10 V / 160 kOhm, allowing speed or torque references to be accepted without loading upstream sensors. A buffered analog output of 5 V / 1 mA returns drive status to external controllers. Discrete commands are received through a 24 V / 3 mA digital input group, and actuators can be driven from a 24 V / 0.5 A digital output line. A Type 2 relay contact switches DC 24 V at 1 A for safety interlocks. A standard control panel clips onto the front, and the housing measures 241 x 49.5 x 103 mm, which supports dense cabinet layouts. Encoder connectivity is provided by slot X4 ENS plus two EN2 sockets on X8 and X10, each supplied with ENS 12 V / 500 mA and EN2 5 V / 350 mA power rails.

System networking uses the onboard PROFIBUS master port for cyclic control-word exchange with higher-level PLCs, while a service channel is available through RS232. Drive-integrated safety is enabled by the SIL2 / Cat. 3 PL d architecture, and motion functions are supervised by the Safe Motion option so safe stop, limited speed, and related states can be achieved without external relays. The relay output, encoder slots, and local I/O are integrated into the same single-slot control section, which helps conserve cabinet space and keeps field connections concentrated at the drive.
