For networked control, it integrates a master interface for PROFIBUS, enabling deterministic telegram exchange with remote devices and simplifying connection to plant controllers. The ENS diagnostic channel evaluates incremental encoders up to 500 kHz while supplying them with a regulated 12 V rail. For media-isolated feedback loops, the resolver driver injects a carrier of 18.2 Vpp at 4 kHz, and the returned sine-cosine signals are processed by the Safe Motion system for monitored stopping functions. The controller can therefore accept incremental, resolver, and hybrid feedback sources within the same platform.
