The CSH01.1C-PB-EN2-NNN-MD2-NN-S-NN-FW control section is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the CSH Advanced Controllers series. It slides into an IndraDrive power module and supplies the real-time logic that ties drives, sensors, and higher-level PLCs together. By combining motion control, discrete I/O handling, and fieldbus communication on one card, it simplifies cabinet layouts and keeps axis coordination inside the drive stack.

This controller samples ±10 V analog signals, and the dedicated input network presents a resistance of 160 kΩ, minimizing loading on process transducers. It can retransmit reference values through a 5 V analog output channel for downstream devices that need a proportional command. Fieldbus exchange occurs over PROFIBUS-DP; this deterministic link carries setpoints and diagnostics between the drive and supervisory PLCs. The internal electronics draw only 7.5 W, so thermal rise inside the drive cabinet remains limited. Discrete inputs accept a logic level of 24 V, and the module measures each channel at 3 mA to detect state changes without overstressing proximity switches or photo-eyes. Sixteen digital inputs and sixteen digital outputs are brought out on the MD2 interface, giving the drive local control over interlocks, limit sensors, and solenoid valves.

Each output stage can source up to 0.5 A, allowing direct switching of small pneumatic valves or indicator lamps. Position feedback is processed through the multifunction encoder port that supports EnDat 2.1 / 1 Vpp / 5 V TTL formats, letting the same controller handle incremental or absolute feedback without accessory converters. The encoder supply provides 350 mA at a regulated 5.0 V, enough to power high-resolution measuring systems, and relay contacts rated at DC 24 V / 1 A are available for status signaling or drive-ready chains.
