The CSH01.1C-PB-EN2-MEM-MD2-S2-S-NN-FW control section belongs to the CSH Advanced Controllers series from Bosch Rexroth Indramat. It plugs into an IndraDrive power module and executes motion sequences, I/O scanning, and safety supervision for one or more servo axes. Within an automation cell, the unit translates fieldbus commands into precisely timed current loops, allowing packaging machines, pick-and-place gantries, and printing lines to synchronize multiple drives without a separate PLC. Its integrated MEM option stores parameter sets locally, and the S2 safety kernel supports certified stop functions for machine safety.

Field communication is established through PROFIBUS-DP, enabling cyclic setpoint transfer and diagnostic messaging to higher-level controllers. For position latching, the emulation interface carries differential signals up to 1 MHz. The board powers incremental or absolute encoders with a regulated 5 VDC output, and when sense conductors are present the feedback line may extend to 75 m without degradation. If sense leads are omitted, installations can run up to 50 m. Sixteen transistorized outputs on the MD2 mezzanine can each deliver 0.5 A, while an equal number of inputs detect 24 V machine signals for sequence interlocks and sensor state capture.

System wiring is simplified by the bus and feedback connectors located on the front edge.
