It supervises coordinated motion commands, manages feedback from EnDat-compliant encoders, and exchanges field data with higher-level PLCs. By combining motion processing with integrated analog, digital, and safety channels, the unit streamlines cabinet layouts in packaging machines, material-handling cells, and other automated equipment that require centralized drive supervision.

This controller draws only 7.5 W at its base operating state, which limits cabinet heat and simplifies power budgeting. Network integration is handled over a PROFIBUS-DP interface that permits cyclic data exchange with multiple drives or remote I/O racks. For setup and service access, an RJ-45 100Base-TX engineering port supports direct Ethernet connection to Rexroth tools, while an auxiliary serial channel operates at 115 kBaud for parameter backup or diagnostics.
