The CSH01.1C-PB-EN2-EN2-NNN-S1-S-NN-FW is a control section built by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the CSH Advanced Controllers series. Designed for insertion into Rexroth drive racks, this product provides motion logic, fieldbus communication, and safety processing in one module. In automated packaging, assembly, or handling equipment, it closes the loop between the drive power stage and the machine-level PLC by generating setpoints, reading feedback, and supervising safety I/O. Because it is a control section rather than a standalone power unit, it works with a matching drive stage to command motor operation.

The controller itself needs 7.5 W, while an additional 2 W is reserved for the PB communication mezzanine. Motion commands are delivered to attached drives over PROFIBUS, giving deterministic transport of setpoints and status words. Two analog channels can source up to 5 V at a maximum of 1 mA, which is useful for sending reference values to external actuators. Machine states are sensed through 11 galvanically isolated digital inputs, and four configurable points can be switched between input or output roles for flexible wiring. This arrangement lets the module handle permissives, status signals, and simple field wiring without separate interface cards. Integrated S1 Safety I/O allows the same card to monitor emergency stops and door switches without an external safety relay.

Feedback processing is handled by dual EN2 channels. Each channel supplies 350 mA at 5.0 VDC to encoders and supports Dual EnDat 2.1 / 1 Vpp / 5 V TTL feedback formats, enabling selection between absolute or incremental feedback without hardware changes. Two probe inputs capture fast position latches for registration tasks, and four S1 mode inputs provide safety-rated function selection. A Form C relay rated at 24 VDC, 1 A can energize brakes or signal a controller-ready status to upstream logic.
