The CSH01.1C-PB-EN2-EN2-MEM-NN-S-NN-FW control section is supplied by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for use within the CSH Advanced Controllers series. Installed in Rexroth drive racks, it acts as the central coordination unit that links motion axes with higher-level PLCs and field devices. The module manages axis logic, generates encoder emulation, and relays diagnostic data, so it serves as the interface between servo drives and the wider plant network in material-handling lines, packaging machines, and other automated cells.

For fieldbus traffic, the card offers PROFIBUS communication through a compact D-Sub 9-pin female connector, enabling cyclic exchange of setpoints and status words with drive controllers. Eight digital outputs share a common source that can supply up to 500 mA, allowing direct energizing of signal relays or indicator lamps. Position information can be retransmitted in Incremental / SSI format, and those square-wave channels can toggle at up to 1 MHz so high-resolution feedback reaches downstream devices without lag. Two hardware encoder sockets provide a total of 2 counting interfaces, permitting simultaneous processing of independent measuring systems while the emulation lines may extend 40 m without signal boosters.

Each encoder port can drive external receivers with a load of 35 ohms, and the integrated sensor supply delivers a regulated 5 V at 350 mA to power optical or magnetic transducers. When remote voltage-sense leads are used, the permitted feedback cable runs climb to 75 m, supporting large machines where drives are mounted far from motors. A single changeover relay contact rated for 24 VDC 1 A is present for ready-state signaling or fault routing. The board lacks integrated safety technology, so protective functions must be implemented in the main controller or external circuitry. An RS-232 maintenance port remains available for setup tasks and serial diagnostics.
