By governing one mechanical axis, the module executes interpolation, monitoring, and fault-handling tasks that keep automated conveyors, pick-and-place arms, or process lines synchronized with plant commands.

The hardware is configured for a single-axis workload, and no additional fieldbus interface is installed, so command exchange can remain local to the drive system. Digital inputs treat any signal below 5 V as off and any level above 15 V as on, which simplifies sensor wiring on 24 V logic rails. Four sourcing outputs can supply up to 500 mA in total, which is enough to operate indicator lamps or interposing relays. The standard operator panel provides four keys and an LED bar for local diagnostics, while safety technology is omitted, so any STO or SS1 functions must be handled by upstream devices.
