The CSH01.1C-NN-EN2-NNN-MD1-L2-S-NN-FW is a compact controller module produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the CSH Advanced Controllers series. It mounts on a drive stack and executes motion sequences, converts field-level signals, and supervises axis feedback, giving a coordinated command layer between PLC systems and Rexroth servo inverters used in automated assembly and packaging lines. This arrangement allows the module to manage motion control tasks and feedback processing within a multi-axis drive system.

One differential analog input accepts ±10 V analog input signals and presents a 160 kΩ load, allowing sensor voltages to be read without heavy source loading. Two buffered analog outputs supply 2 × 5 V at 1 mA each so the controller can forward reference values to external recorders or drives. Position feedback arrives through a D-Sub 15-pin connector that supports the EnDat 2.1, 1 Vpp, and 5 V TTL interface formats, enabling absolute or incremental encoders to share the same port. Mechanical clearance is minimized by a depth of 103 mm and a height of 241 mm, so the unit fits inside narrow multi-axis cabinets. Digital expansion is handled by the MD1 section on a D-Sub 25-pin connector, which provides 12 inputs rated at 24 VDC and 8 outputs that switch the same voltage for local sensor and actuator wiring. Encoder excitation is delivered at 5 VDC with up to 350 mA, covering most optical or magnetic feedback transducers. A dedicated safety header with a D-Sub 9-pin female connector routes the Safe Torque Off channels, and the function is certified to SIL3 and Cat. 3 PL e, allowing the drive pair to meet stop-category requirements without additional relays. The built-in serial port supports RS232, and initial setup can be handled through this serial link or through a separate communication module.
