The CSH01.1C-ET-ENS-NNN-NNN-S1-S-NN-FW is a control section from Bosch Rexroth Indramat's CSH Advanced Controllers series. It is fitted to IndraDrive power sections to execute axis control, safety monitoring, and fieldbus communication within industrial automation cells. By combining motion logic with real-time safety inputs, the unit coordinates servomotor position, velocity, and torque in assembly lines, packaging machines, and material-handling equipment.

The controller provides two analog outputs, and each can source up to 1 mA and swing to 5 V for reference or diagnostic signals. Its internal electronics draw only 7.5 W at idle, so cabinet heat rise remains low. Network traffic is handled through Multi-Ethernet hardware that supports 100Base-TX communication over shielded twisted-pair, with a maximum cable length of 100 m. A 12 V encoder supply powers incremental or absolute feedback devices without an external supply block. At startup, the module can demand up to 4 A of inrush current, so the input circuit must accommodate this short surge. Pulse outputs used for drive-enable signals are limited to 100 ms, which helps prevent unintended latching of downstream relays.

The unit carries an onboard relay rated at 1 A at 24 V DC, suitable for contactor control or status signaling, while higher loads must be switched externally. Functional safety resources use a dedicated supply rail, and total current on this rail may reach 1.6 A when multiple inputs and test pulses are active. Each SIL-rated input draws just 3 mA, allowing numerous sensors to share a common source. Dual-channel safe outputs can source up to 0.5 A to deactivate power stages or trigger brakes. Wiring is consolidated on a D-Sub 9 female safety connector so that removal of a single plug fully isolates the safety circuit.
