The CSH01.1C-ET-ENS-NNN-MEM-L2-S-NN-FW is a motion and I/O control section produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the CSH Advanced Controllers series. Installed inside an IndraDrive power module, it commands a single-axis arrangement and manages position, speed, and torque loops required in automated equipment. Integrated encoder processing and multi-protocol networking let the controller synchronize drives with upper-level PLCs, providing deterministic operation across complex production cells.

The controller’s electronics draw only 7.5 W at idle, reducing cabinet heat and auxiliary power demand. Motion commands and status data move over the Multi-Ethernet interface, eliminating separate option cards when different Ethernet-based fieldbuses are used. During power-up, the controller can draw an inrush current of 4 A on the shared DC bus. For direct maintenance access, the integrated RS-232 channel communicates at up to 115 kBaud, allowing parameter sets to be uploaded or saved without network tools.

The feedback connector supplies 11.6 V at 500 mA to IndraDyn S, HIPERFACE, or 1 Vpp encoders, and the module can recreate absolute as well as incremental signals for downstream devices. Its digital emulator toggles at 1 MHz with pulse widths down to 100 ms and may be routed through a 40 m shielded cable without signal boosters. Network segments can span 100 m between active nodes, keeping controller cabinets distant from moving machinery. When required by risk assessment, the integrated Safe Torque Off function disables gate firing so motor torque is removed while fieldbus communication remains active.
