The CSH01.1C-ET-ENS-NNN-MD2-NN-S-NN-FW is a plug-in control section manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the CSH Advanced Controllers series. It forms the logic core of IndraDrive power units, coordinating motion sequences and network traffic in automated machinery. By mounting this section next to a power stage, the system gains centralized processing for axis control, fieldbus routing, and safety signaling, enabling precise positioning and deterministic cycle times on assembly cells, packaging lines, and material-handling stations.

Its internal electronics require only 7.5 W of base control power, so thermal load inside a cabinet stays low. Communication with upper-level systems is handled through Multi-Ethernet hardware that supports protocols carried on the physical layer of IEEE 802.3u 100Base-TX. Two shielded ports with a RJ-45, 8-Pin layout allow daisy-chain or star wiring. Feedback from motors is accepted through a D-Sub 15-Pin Female connector, and the standard encoder evaluation circuit supplies 12 V to sensors while decoding incremental or absolute signals. The MD2 mezzanine on this section provides 16 digital inputs arranged in two galvanically isolated groups and 16 digital outputs split across four sourcing groups for field devices such as sensors, valves, and contactors. Each output channel is protected by a relay contact rated at 24 V DC, 1 A, permitting direct switching of solenoids and status lamps without auxiliary relays. During power-up, the supply surges to a maximum of 4 A, after which steady-state current stays far below the wiring limits.
