To develop a safe and highly efficient automation system like the Rexroth IndraDrive drive system, Bosch Rexroth combines some of the world’s most advanced drive and motion control units. These include servo motors, power units like converters and inverters, control sections, and their accessories. One of the classes of control sections in the drive system is the CSH01 series of single-axis control sections. These ADVANCED control sections offer top performance in controlling and monitoring electrical motors as they are parts of drive controllers in the drive system. They can be used in equipment like handling and mounting systems, machine tools, printing, and paper processing machines, and food processing and packaging machines.

The CSH01.1C-NN-ENS-MEM-MA1-S1-S-NN-FW is a configurable CSH01 control section model by Bosch Rexroth. Its standard encoder evaluation interface allows the connection of encoder systems such as the sin-cos encoder (1 Vpp) with reference track, the sin-cos encoder (1 Vpp) with Hiperface interface, and the 5V-TTL square-wave encoder with reference track. All these encoder systems have a supply voltage of 12V. The control section also uses an encoder emulation interface for the emulation of absolute value and incremental encoder signals for evaluation by a control unit.

Because it is equipped with a Safety Technology I/O module, the CSH01.1C-NN-ENS-MEM-MA1-S1-S-NN-FW supports numerous application-specific safety functions like safety-related standstill, safety-related reduced speed, safety-related drive interlock, and safety-related direction of motion. It also supports the use of firmware, but this must be ordered as a separate sub-item from Bosch Rexroth. Since it is a product of category C3 according to IEC 61800‑3, it requires a mains filter when used in a public low-voltage mains that supplies residential areas.
