Serial servicing is handled through the RS232 port, giving direct access for diagnostics and parameter access when a network connection is not used.

Its hardware layout is tailored for single-axis operation, meaning one power section is directed by this control section. Network traffic is carried through the Multi-Ethernet interface, so the unit can join EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, or EtherCAT topologies without extra cards. Integrated digital I/O channels and an onboard relay output let the controller accept limit switch signals and control external contactors locally. Feedback ports support the IndraDyn and Hiperface encoder protocols.
