The CS351S-G is a compact controller from Bosch Rexroth Indramat that belongs to the CS Compact Controller Systems series. It combines PLC functionality with an integrated operator panel so a single unit can issue motion commands, collect sensor data, and display process feedback. In an automation cell, the controller replaces separate HMI and logic modules, reducing panel depth and wiring while maintaining deterministic control over connected drives and I/O lines.

The front panel features a 640 × 480 VGA display on a color TFT touchscreen, so operators can trigger sequences or acknowledge alarms directly on the glass. Internally, the power section is rated for a nominal draw of 1200 VA, and the supply is synchronized to plant mains through an input range of 50–60 Hz. During operation, the electronics have an IP54 rating, allowing installation in areas exposed to dust or splashing coolant. Thermal limits permit continuous service from 0 °C to 45 °C, and circuitry remains stable while ambient humidity stays between 20% and 90% RH. These limits allow the controller to operate in standard electrical enclosures without auxiliary heating or dehumidification.

For short surge conditions, the power stage can deliver 4800 VA, and overcurrent protection is coordinated with branch circuits rated at 10 A @ 120 V / 5.2 A @ 230 V. The automatic range selection adapts to input lines specified at 230 V ± 10%, 120 V +5/-10%, or 110 V ± 10%, and the selector itself is automatic, so no jumper changes are required when relocating equipment. Reliable performance is maintained up to 2000 m MSL, after which derating is necessary. When the machine is idle, storage temperatures may fall to -20 °C or reach 70 °C with humidity as high as 95% RH without impairing startup behavior.
