Product Description:
The Bosch CML40.2 is an industrial controller. It belongs to the IndraControl L40 product line from Rexroth. The controller is a platform which can satisfy motion logic applications and PLC applications. The hardware for the CML40.2 is available in system specific configurations. Standard features available on the controller include an eight-digit LCD display, RS-232 interface, Ethernet interface, slot for compact flash card, 8 digital inputs and 8 digital outputs. Available optional communication interfaces include ProfiBus DP and SERCOS. Accessories available for the controller include blower, SRAM, DeviceNet master, various digital input terminals, digital output terminals, analog input terminals, analog output terminals and connectors. The CML40.2 is based on the AMD Geode LX800 processor. The controller comes with minimum 64 MB DRAM and minimum 128 kB NvRAM. Firmware is not part of the standard controller package and needs to be ordered separately.
The RS-232 serial interface on the CML40.2 has a D-sub male connector with 9 pins. The Ethernet interface has a RJ-45 female connector with 8 pins. The SERCOS Tx port has a female optical fiber connector and the SERCOX Rx port has a female FO connector. The ProfiBus DP slave interface has a D-sub female connector with 9 pins. Dimensions of the CML40.2 are 120 x 175.4 x 75.9 millimeters.
The controller requires externa power supply capable of supplying nominal 24 Volts DC. The maximum permissible ambient temperature for controller operation is 55 degrees Celsius. If the ambient temperature goes above 45 degrees Celsius then the optional blower must be used. Only accessories and spare parts approved by Bosch Rexroth can be used with the CML40.2. Only personnel who are qualified and trained to work on the controller should be allowed to work on the controller and in its vicinity. This control unit can be shipped globally with a one-year warranty period from Wake Industrial.
