The CLM01.4-N-E-4-N-FW is an axis positioning control module manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the CLM Axis Positioning Control Modules series. It integrates into drive racks to coordinate servo stages in packaging, handling, and machining equipment by interpreting feedback and generating reference values for accurate motion paths. Reference values generated by the module are passed to downstream drive sections so commanded moves can be carried out with consistent timing across linked machine stations. This makes the unit suitable for applications that need coordinated start, stop, and position correction behavior during automatic cycles.

The controller supports 4-axis motion and operates from a 24 V DC logic supply. Four differential analog input channels accept command signals at ±10 V, 12-bit resolution, while four analog outputs return status data at ±10 V, 14-bit resolution for external indicators or cascaded regulators. This analog I/O arrangement allows the module to exchange command and monitoring signals with surrounding control hardware without requiring separate conversion devices. Because the memory is nonvolatile, stored routines remain available after control power is removed. Thermal operation ranges from 5 °C to 45 °C under natural convection and up to 55 °C with forced air, so the installation has to provide an enclosure environment that stays within those limits. A protection class of IP20 provides finger-safe openings but no sealing against dust ingress, making enclosure mounting necessary. During continuous duty, the logic stage releases 45 W of local power loss, so surrounding panel components must be arranged to avoid concentrated heat buildup.
