The CLM01.4-N-E-4-B-FW axis controller is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat as part of the CLM Axis Positioning Control Modules series. It is an Indramat position control device supplied in Design Version 4 under Line 01. The unit is intended to coordinate position and velocity for as many as four closed-loop drives in automated machinery. A backlit LCD display with background illumination supports local parameter entry, and the front panel accepts expansion options for application-specific functions. Because no interface hardware is installed at the factory, the module relies on its built-in analog command structure for integration.

Each of the four analog input channels accepts a ±10 V differential signal, and those inputs are digitized at 12-bit resolution for the internal position loops. The analog outputs use the same voltage span and are updated with a 14-bit value so connected drives receive smooth torque references. The controller can process 4 axes at the same time, and its logic section operates from a 24 V DC supply. Thermal losses are limited to 45 W, which helps the hardware remain within its natural-cooling range of 5 °C to 45 °C. Identical filtering is applied to every analog channel, and the empty interface slot leaves room for a later communication option.

The housing has an overall size of 330 × 105 × 390 mm, so it can be installed in standard control enclosures without unusual mounting space. The front panel has an IP20 rating, which helps protect against finger contact and small foreign objects when the cabinet door is open. Encoder feedback can be processed at frequencies up to 1 MHz, which supports high-resolution motion control on fast machinery. The onboard expansion bay can be used to add axis-related or auxiliary functions without changing the basic cabinet layout.
