Bosch Rexroth Indramat manufactures the CLM01.4-LAP-04V08-MS as part of the CLM Axis Positioning Control Modules series. This Indramat position control module belongs to line 01 and is supplied in design version 4. It supervises motion on four axes, generating position commands while processing encoder feedback to keep each drive synchronized with programmed setpoints. By combining trajectory calculations and discrete logic, the module fits applications that require precise axis coordination in packaging, material handling, or machine tool cells. It can coordinate several motion tasks from one rack location, which helps keep multi-axis machines organized and responsive during sequence changes.

The module is powered from a control rail at 24 V DC and idles at just 450 mA, making it compatible with compact cabinet supplies. Four differential analog inputs accept signals across a ±10 V span and are digitized at 12-bit resolution, while four analog outputs reproduce command values across the same ±10 V range with a finer 14-bit granularity. An onboard counter samples incremental encoder channels at 1 MHz, so high-speed position data can be evaluated without missing pulses. In addition to the analog channels, the controller provides 24 system inputs and 18 system outputs for limit switches, sequence triggers, and status relays. This mix of signal handling lets the module manage motion references and machine interlocks within the same control platform.

For machine functions outside the primary control loop, the device offers 88 auxiliary inputs and 51 auxiliary outputs, letting a single module handle sensor banks, valve manifolds, and light stacks without external PLC cards. Its enclosure measures 330 × 105 × 390 mm, so it slides into standard 19-inch racks, and the assembled weight of 6 kg keeps panel loading light. The compact rack format supports orderly cable routing in densely populated cabinets with several coordinated axes. The added auxiliary I/O capacity also helps centralize peripheral signals that would otherwise require separate interface hardware.
