The CLM01.3-X-E-4-B-FW axis positioning control module is built by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the CLM Axis Positioning Control Modules series. As an Indramat position control unit, it coordinates up to four motion axes in automated machinery, processes encoder feedback, and generates command signals for servo amplifiers and drives. Integrated logic, analog I/O, and a backlit LCD interface allow positions to be set, status to be monitored, and sequencing tasks to be executed directly from the front panel, making the module useful in material handling, packaging, assembly lines, and other systems that require precise multi-axis synchronization.

Electrical performance is based on a nominal supply of 24 V DC, and the design tolerates voltage excursions of up to 20 percent without functional loss. Four differential analog inputs accept signals within a symmetrical range of ±10 V; each channel is digitized through a 12-bit converter so incremental command values can be resolved into 4096 discrete steps. Corresponding analog outputs share the same ±10 V span but are produced with a finer 14-bit resolution that supports smooth velocity or pressure loops. Position feedback is serviced by an encoder sampler that captures edge changes at 1 MHz, allowing the controller to follow high-speed axes without missing counts during acceleration or reversal.

The unit controls up to 4 axes and presents motion data on a four-line backlit LCD that remains readable in dim areas because of its background illumination. Housing dimensions of 330 x 105 x 390 mm fit standard cabinet rails, and the enclosure weighs 6 kg, which simplifies installation and helps the module fit into compact control cabinets. Command and diagnostic data pass through a multi-protocol link offering RS-232C / RS-422 / RS-485 connectivity, and internal card slots provide expansion for additional digital I/O or memory when machine requirements change over time.
