The CLM01.3-X-0-4-B-FW module is an Indramat position control unit manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and supplied within the CLM Axis Positioning Control Modules series. Installed in a motion cabinet, the unit coordinates feed drives and dedicated measuring wheels so that commanded lengths are produced accurately on material-handling or converting lines. It serves as the central controller that interprets encoder feedback and issues synchronized commands to downstream servo drives, helping maintain accurate axis registration during continuous automated operation. It is intended for applications where repeatable feed length and synchronized positioning must be maintained across multiple driven sections.

Internally, the controller can govern 4 axes, allowing simultaneous management of multiple motion channels from a single rack position. All logic circuits are powered by a control supply of 24 VDC, which simplifies integration with standard machine power buses used in industrial control cabinets. Feed length commands are executed to a resolution of 0.01 mm, and the encoder feedback channels provide the position data needed to close each loop with the same level of precision. Field wiring is terminated on a matrix that accepts 48 digital inputs and furnishes 37 outputs, giving the unit broad capacity for limit switches, start signals, measuring-wheel interfaces, and actuator relays.
