The CLM01.3-X-0-4-B positioning module is part of the CLM Axis Positioning Control Modules series from Bosch Rexroth Indramat. It coordinates multiple servo axes in machine tools, packaging lines, and material-handling cells. Acting as an independent position controller, it generates motion profiles, issues setpoint streams, and monitors feedback so the main PLC can focus on machine sequencing. This arrangement lets the module handle interpolation and motion supervision without placing that processing load on the higher-level control. The unit belongs to the Indramat Position Control product type.

Internally, the controller manages four axes. Its logic electronics run on 24 Vdc and draw 450 mA, which fits standard control cabinet power distribution. A Motorola 68000 CPU performs motion calculations with 128 KB of RAM for working data and 256 KB of EPROM for program storage. Feed commands are executed with a resolution of 0.01 mm, allowing precise positioning on each channel. The module is part of Line 01. Heat is removed by convection cooling, and a backlit LCD with four text lines works with twenty membrane keys for local status display and parameter entry. The display provides direct access to alarms, operating states, and parameter values from the front of the unit. There is no expansion slot, which keeps the unit compact and self-contained.

The aluminum housing measures 390 mm high, 105 mm wide, and 325 mm deep, and it weighs 6 kg. Its narrow width helps it fit beside neighboring control hardware in a cabinet. The passive heat path supports operation up to 1000 m altitude when ambient temperature stays within standard cabinet limits. The front bezel has an IP10 rating, so cabinet mounting is necessary to protect it from dust and similar contaminants. Rear cable entry keeps the keypad surface clear for access and allows the module to be removed without disturbing adjacent units.
