The CLM01.3-X-0-2-B is an axis positioning control module produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and supplied within the CLM Axis Positioning Control Modules series. It serves as a stand-alone unit for closed-loop motion tasks in industrial automation. It synchronizes encoder feedback with programmed motion profiles to position machine slides, cutters, or measuring wheels with repeatable accuracy.

This controller processes up to 2 axes simultaneously and is powered from a control supply of 24 VDC. Internal logic and interface circuits draw a maximum of 450 mA, so panel power budgeting must account for that continuous demand during operation. The module commands step lengths down to 0.01 mm, which is the smallest incremental move it can execute. For transducer support, it supplies 125 mA to each absolute encoder port and 50 mA to each incremental channel, allowing direct wiring of most glass-scale or rotary encoders without external power injectors. This arrangement supports both linear scales and rotary encoders on each channel. One encoder per axis is accepted, and the control logic interprets either incremental or absolute signals to update instantaneous position and velocity on the four-line backlit LCD.

The housing footprint is 390 x 105 x 325 mm, permitting installation on shallow switchgear panels while leaving room for cable loops and ventilation gaps. With a mass of 6 kg, it can be mounted on DIN rails or bolted shelves without reinforcement. Heat is removed by passive convection from the regulators and display lamp, eliminating the need for cabinet fans but requiring unobstructed airflow around the enclosure. The front keypad carries twenty tactile keys that give direct access to parameter entry and diagnostic pages, and the enclosure is rated IP10, so it must be placed inside a protected cabinet to limit dust ingress and incidental contact.
